When it comes to ancient places to visit, people think of Rome and Athens, but what about a place that is completely preserved in time, Pompeii, Italy. Visiting Pompeii is like taking a step back in time as even mundane life has been preserved through the ages. If you or anyone you know is interested in doing any international travel, it is important to remember that they will need a valid United States passport. For over 1700 years it was lost until it’s rediscovery in 1749. Following many excavations the site has provided the world with a detailed depiction of city life during Pax Romana (Roman Peace). It has been declared an UNESCO World Heritage Site and boasts being one of Italy’s most popular attractions.

Planning

When planning a trip to the forgotten city, be sure to map out destinations you want to see. There are so many sites to see and it can take days just to see the entireness of Pompeii. Campania, Italy also offers Pompeii’s sister site, Herculaneum. There is also the National Museum, where there is an assemblage of some of the best preserved mosaics and other artifacts found at Pompeii. There is also the “Garden of the Fugitives” this is where several plaster casted victims are on display where they originally fell and were overtaken by ash and pumice.

History

Tourism is a good way to bring money into the site and allowing for more conservation efforts, however preserving and restoring such artifacts is time consuming and expensive. Although many foundations have funded Pompeii, only a third of sites that were open in the 60’s are open today.

In all honesty, Great Forest is largely reminiscent of Canopy Climbers, Future of Forestry, and even Bigfoot Wallace. Despite its short length, Great Forest’s EP makes for a satisfyingly enjoyable listen.

Trying to decide where to go for a family vacation can be very challenging. You want something that will be memorable and exciting. Also, you want to find something that is unique and doesn’t break the bank to pay for. If you consider yourself to be the adventurous type you should consider going on an African safari. Children will love seeing all of the exotic animal life that they probably thought did not really exist. If you are going to travel to Africa, however, you will need to make sure everyone has a valid passport. If your budget is more plump, you may want to look into Botswana, they offer a great safari experience and there is little driving required. Most of the safaris offered in Botswana are fly-in. This type of safari is geared towards older children. Many of the safaris also include a traditional canoe ride through the delta region. This may be unsafe for smaller children.

Biography ::

Wilson was raised in the Chicago, Illinois area. Since his childhood, Wilson began singing with the adult male chorus at the Rock of Ages Baptist Church.

After growing up, Wilson enrolled at the University of Illinois, where he also sang in the black chorus. He eventually graduated with a degree in Liberal Arts and Sciences, with an emphasis on economics. Wilson took a job as a pharmaceutical salesman, while he continued to sing on his free time.

After seven years, Wilson moved to Houston, Texas, to work for Johnson & Johnson. He started visiting Windsor Village United Methodist Church with a friend and became a born-again Christian. After some time, Wilson was invited to write music for their services, with some of his songs receiving airplay in local radio stations.

At some point, Wilson met Pastor Rudy Rasmus, who was looking for songs to pitch to friend and music entrepreneur Mathew Knowles. After listening to Wilson’s song “Already Here”, Knowles signed Wilson to his record label Spirit Rising/Music World.

In 2009, Wilson released his debut album titled Just Love. The album was produced by Stan Jones and features contributions by Tommy Simms. In 2010, the title song was nominated for a Dove Award for Urban Recorded Song of the Year, while Wilson himself was nominated for New Artist of the Year at the 41st GMA Dove Awards. Wilson re-released a deluxe edition of his album on October 5, accompanied by a nationwide tour through 25 cities in the United States.

If you live in Beverly Hills, you will soon be able to get your late-night sugar fix with a Sprinkles cupcake. Instead of keeping late hours, a few of the Sprinkles stores are in the process of installing automated cupcake machines stocked with 600 treats each day. The article in the Washington Post explains:

The automat is the brainchild of founder and “Cupcake Wars” judge Candace Nelson. “I conceived the idea of an automatic cupcake machine after having late-night sugar cravings while pregnant with my second son,” Nelson said. “Even as Sprinkles’ founder, I couldn’t get my midnight cupcake fix!” . . . The machine will not be restocked while the bakery is closed (approximately 11 p.m. to 3 a.m.), but Schwartz does not expect the automated supply to run out.

So we could lament our society’s obsession with instant gratification or how this will only exasperate the obesity problem. Or we could rejoice in the creativity of this business to meet demand during off hours and we could enjoy them as sweet treats (key word being treat, in that it is an exception, not a habit).

It’s a good thing I live in central Illinois, because this is my kind of ATM.

Christ and Pop Culture

Passports are documents that allow an individual to travel to foreign countries. They act as permission to enter any country and re-enter an individual’s country of origin. Until recently children were able to travel on their parents passports, but now due to stricter laws regarding child trafficking all children must have their own passport including infants. Now they must have a separate application must be sent to get a US passport for children.

Young Travelers

A child passport is a passport issued to any United States citizen under the age of 18. Children’s passports expire ever 5 years, and during that time are not renewable. So, if someone under the age of 18 travels frequently, they will need to reapply for their passport every five years.

Necessary Paperwork

If you are going to try and get a child passport you will first need to acquire all the necessary paperwork. You will have to fully fill out the application. Also, when you send in the completed application you will have to make certain that you have also included any necessary documentation.

Corresponding Documentation

There are many requirements for obtaining a US children’s passport. These requirements include; the new application, proof of citizenship, parental consent, proof of identity, passport photos, and the reason for travel. All of these items must accompany the passport application in order to the process to go smoothly.

Methods

There are a couple different ways you can prove you are a citizen of the United States. You can send in your original birth certificate that you got from the hospital you were born in. You can also show your United States social security card as proof of citizenship. You also have to include two recent passport photos to have your application accepted and processed.

Once Completed

Depending on how much you wish to pay in fees there are a couple different ways to submit all of your application paperwork. First, you can take it to a passport agency where they will go through all of your documents to make sure everything is in there and completed properly. You can also take care of all these things online. This is more expensive but it also saves a lot of time and headaches. Either way, before you take this step make sure you have completed the entire application to avoid any setbacks when you apply.

Processing

Assuming that you filled out all of your application and documents properly, you should expect to receive your new child passport in about eight weeks. However, if you need it quicker than this, you can visit an expediting agency to speed the process up for you. Of course, this costs extra money. However, they can guarantee you receive you American passport in time for your overseas travels.
